Here at Denizen, we’ve caught wind of a new pop-up experience that will celebrate a unique fusion of culinary skillsets from around the world. Aoraki will launch at Shortland Street eatery Hugo’s Bistro this Sunday, 6th May, whereby a collective of chefs from a number of acclaimed Auckland restaurants (think Orphans Kitchen, Clooney etc) will put on a damn delicious showcase that highlights their common appreciation for local produce.
Using sustainably farmed meats, New Zealand produce and foraged native herbs, the team will ply guests with an exquisite five-course menu paired with a non-alcoholic drinks match (included in the ticket price) featuring various ferments and tonics made using the season’s fruits. Bottled wine will also be available courtesy of the Hugo’s wine list.
With elements of South Indian and Polynesian influence on display, plated with utmost flavour and finesse, we can assure you the inaugural Aoraki pop will be at once surprising and delicious.
Aoraki’s first pop-up is sponsored by Hugo’s Bistro and Antipodes. Tickets are $75 per person and include a non-alcoholic drinks match. Secure your spot here.
