May 19th sees the long-awaited arrival of legend Pattie Boyd as she brings her captivating and intriguing life story, George Harrison, Eric Clapton and Me; An Evening with Pattie Boyd, to the Auckland War Memorial Museum. For one night only, the model, photographer, and ex-wife of the two music geniuses will be serving up an intimate three-hour event, sharing memories, personal photographs and film footage from her incredible life with the greatest faces of rock’n’roll.
One of the world’s most talked about muses, Boyd was the English model who became the leading international face of the 60s, epitomizing the era with her wide, Bambi-esque eyes and soft features. Her two high-profile marriages — one to The Beatles lead guitarist George Harrison at the height of Beatlemania, and later to blues-genius Eric Clapton — cemented her as a member of one of the most high-profile social circles in modern history, mingling with the likes of Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd.
