This is the personalised cocktail service you need at your next event

Frankie Walker, founder of Black Pineapple, is a person who knows that good cocktails can be pivotal to the success of an event. Something of a veteran in the drinks and catering business, having worked in the industry for over 20 years, he recently changed gears to focus on his new venture which aims to not only take some of the pain out of event organising, but to use drinks catering as a way of creating truly memorable experiences too.

Specialising in bespoke cocktails, the pro-mixologist recently came on board for Denizen’s end of year work party which so happened to be on a boat, cruising the Waitematā Harbour. As our lavish lunch unfolded, Frankie and his passionate team created drinks that perfectly complemented the summery theme and menu, serving them at an excellent speed to boot. A fragrant spritz was followed by crisp watermelon Margaritas and fresh pineapple concoctions. What’s more, the maestro catered to the few teetotalers with ease and delight.

Black Pineapple’s extensive capabilities seemingly have no bounds; whether you want a tasting of six different whiskies or the creation of a tailored old fashioned over hand-cut ice. Perhaps it’s a panoply of spritz options you desire — whatever your needs are, Black Pineapple will fulfil them. From corporate experiences to weddings and brand activations, they step in to up the ante and bring their drink-making nous to each and every occasion.

“We know how to get the D Floor going with the perfect espresso martini at midnight, as well as how to aid recovery with a Bloody Mary buffet for 100 people for the day after,” says Frankie. It’s all about reading the guests and anticipating what they’re going to need. With Black Pineapple on hand, entertaining is a breeze.
