It’s hard to beat the experience of a meal at one of Auckland’s most lauded restaurants. From its vantage point overlooking the sparkling Waitematā Harbour, Ostro Brasserie & Bar offers a dining experience that is elevated in more ways that one. But despite the fact that we regularly flock there for luxurious dinners and drinks with friends, we’ve just been given a whole new reason to pay this acclaimed spot a visit — and it’s looking set to make our Saturdays more celebratory than ever before.
Recently launching Saturday Sipsters, Ostro is putting on the ultimate long lunch experience from 12pm until 4pm every Saturday. Designed as the perfect excuse to gather some friends and while away the afternoon, Saturday Sipsters comprises a special menu curated by Ostro’s Head Chef Josh Shields and Executive Chef Josh Emett that includes the likes of seared scallops with celeriac, apple, mint and chorizo, a cauliflower and gorgonzola risotto with radicchio, rosemary, radish and balsamic and various, delicious sweet treats. The three-course extravaganza is $39.95 per person, although if you really want to celebrate (it is Saturday, after all) you can opt for a Moët & Chandon or Skinny Prosecco experience (at $145 and $85 respectively) to accompany lunch, or choose to indulge in Ostro’s famously delicious cocktail list.
Going beyond great food to offer tasty drinks, rousing tunes and an ambience that will put anyone in a convivial mood, Saturday Sipsters is offering the ultimate lunch experience — and is set to take our weekends up a necessary notch.
