There’s nothing like a good Sunday session to feel like you’re really making the most of a beautiful weekend. Recognising this, the folks at Peter Gordon’s Homeland are joining forces with the maestros of party-starting — jazz legend Nathan Haines and DJ Jaimie Webster-Haines — to put on what is shaping up to be the ultimate Sunday party.
Promising to be an ‘Ibiza-style dance party,’ Sunday Jives at Homeland will kick off from 2pm this Sunday (21st of March) and will see Nathan on the flute and saxophone and Jaimie on the DJ decks, joined by Uruguay-born percussionist Richie Cesan, to play a three-hour set that fuses jazz with house music, disco and some Latin rhythm.
Not only a celebration of music but one of food too, Sunday Jives will be keeping party-goers satiated with a raft of delicious food and drinks from the Homeland kitchen. With a menu that celebrates locally-sourced ingredients and cuisine from Aotearoa and around the Pacific, expect delectably-fresh fare and refreshing drinks to perfectly accompany all the action on the decks.
So, while the weather is still warm and an afternoon party in the sun still seasonally appropriate, don’t miss your chance to celebrate in style. From its dance-worthy tunes to its tasty food and enviable location right on the water, Sunday Jives at Homeland will prove the party to be at, and with limited tickets, we suggest securing your spot immediately. Tickets can be booked here.
