Deciding against knocking down their 1983 mock Georgian residence, the new owners commissioned Robson Rak to correct the overt, faux 80s styling that had taken away from its classic aspect while maintaining the historical essence of the home. Subject to much more than a subtle facelift, the entire house has undergone a major overhaul at the hands of Melbourne-based architects Kathryn Robson and Chris Rak — one that adheres to the subdued nuances of the building while creating a functional and dynamic family home. By removing all the 80s style references, the objective to modernise the existing structure while maintaining a classic elegance has been well and truly achieved.
