Maison Mumm’s high-energy race-day fanfare is about to descend on Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day.
There’s no denying that Champagne Mumm has become synonymous with race-day fanfare. This year, the avant-garde Champagne House will be bringing its high-energy ‘yacht club’ concept to the pinnacle of the racing calendar with a boat themed marquee at Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day.
The Mumm Yacht Club is the only place you’ll want to be as the festivities are set to escalate to a whole new level. The concept is a nod to the prestigious Flemington extravaganza that took place at the 2017 Melbourne Cup and will be gracing New Zealand with a party you would sooner expect to find on the Côte d’Azur.
In situ for the Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day (10th March), invite-only VIP guests will be privy to the very best of The Mumm Yacht Club hospitality: top-notch concierges, a boat crew serving fresh gourmet treats and a range of vibrant entertainment.
Champagne Mumm ambassador Mathilde Laborde will be overseeing the celebrations which will centre around Mumm’s innovative new Mumm Grand Cordon bottle. Attendees can enjoy an array of critically acclaimed guest DJs, including sets from esteemed Kiwi duo Sweet Mix Kids and Melbourne’s Strut & Fret (the same performers who got the party started in Flemington).
What’s more, the premium Champagne brand will also be offering a flurry of archetypal ‘Mumm Moments’ set to take the luxurious feel of The Mumm Yacht Club across Ellerslie, including confetti canons, their famous sabrage, the coveted “Mumm Rosé Box”, rosé cocktails and top-ups from the giant Methuselah bottle. Come Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day, we suggest you watch this space.
