Having already amassed a loyal following for administering your morning brew in cafes that make you feel good (think crisp white walls and open spaces), it will come as music to the ears of all city slickers that Eighthirty’s latest outpost is conveniently located on the ground floor of the Tasman Building on lower Anzac Ave in the CBD.
The cafe space is minimalist and slick with a ‘no frills attached’ memo, much like the K’ Road outpost. Roasting gear and sacks of coffee on display guaranteeing the authenticity and quality we’ve come to expect from the coffee connoisseurs. The cafe will primarily be used as a roastery and an education space to train the baristas, and later the general public, on perfecting your coffee, although it will be open during the day serving as the perfect pitstop for your morning cup of Joe.
And should you need more than just a pick-me-up we strongly suggest you peruse their toast menu which boasts some pretty delicious options — our favourite is the beetroot caviar and creme fraiche on rye.
