The Saint Georges Bay Road cohort now has a new coffee destination.
It’s funny how word of good coffee can spur on a stampede in even the most unassuming location. And while ‘stampede’ might be hyperbolic when talking about the steady stream of punters stepping into the glass fronted space in Shed 2 of Faraday Street in Parnell, there’s no doubt that the response to new coffee pop-up Red Rabbit is one of immense positivity.
Scheduled to permanently set up shop in the neighbouring space in a few months time, the Wellingtonian coffee roasters are introducing their beans to Auckland via this temporary address located just off Saint Georges Bay Road. Occupying the space under Fearon Hay Architects, it is this talented team who will be responsible for designing the soon-to-be cafe next door. For now, however, Red Rabbit is already currying favour from the surrounding workforce by offering simple espresso and filter coffee from 7am.
There’s little more to know other than the friendly team behind the grey and red, industrial style counter are reason enough to make this your regular coffee stop. That and the fact that they’re importing their amazing salted caramel cookies all the way from Wellington’s lauded Leeds Street Bakery because they’re convinced they’re that good.
