After a short stint of covered windows and secrecy, Louis Vuitton has reopened the doors to its revitalised Queen Street store and is welcoming us into the enticing new space.
A sophisticated two-storied vision lined with an extensive selection of the fashion house’s finest luxury goods, the downtown boutique embodies every bit the lofty, international standard you might expect. Dominated by a warm, wood-dominated fit out and sprawled over two ample levels, every detail has been considered down to the hand-stitched leather that protects the stairwell’s railing.
Though the preeminent label has long graced our shores — New Zealand’s first LV boutique opened more than 20 years ago — the refresh of the CBD store has seen the brand expand in both area and offering. With a covetable line-up of fine jewellery and luggage lining the light-filled space, the reopening also marks the arrival of Louis Vuitton men’s and womenswear to New Zealand, as well as fragrance for the very first time. A long time coming for the revered maison’s loyal local following, the inaugural drop launches with the handsome 2017 Cruise collections.
With an exclusive release of the much-adored Christopher backpack in crocodile to also celebrate the reopening, you’ll have to excuse the cliché here, but the Louis Vuitton Queen Street is simply bigger and better than ever. Well deserving of its spot in Auckland’s world-class downtown shopping precinct, the refreshed Louis Vuitton Queen Street is well worth a visit.
