Here’s why we’re obsessed with Helen Cherry’s new-season suiting separates this spring

The formal fit of the classic suit has been commandeered by the wider fashion industry. So much so, that most of the looks we’re seeing coming out of fashion week are combining more casual, patterned pieces with some kind of suit-inspired element — a structured blazer here, a tailored trouser there. And it’s proving that you don’t have to commit to head-to-toe suiting to get on board with the trend.

Looking to add some dimension to our looks for spring, we turned to Helen Cherry for the brand’s versatile separates that can be added to our existing wardrobes with very little fuss. Take the Classic Tailored Trousers in ‘Sand,’ for instance. Wear them to the office with an oversized, white shirt for a crisp, tonal look, or pair with a tight black singlet on the weekend for an elevated off-duty vibe. Or embrace a modern, 70s-inspired take on the tailored pant of old with Helen Cherry’s new, high-waisted, wide-legged Leigh Trousers.

From blazers that can be wrapped in a more form-fitting way or left open for a laid-back look, to rose pink suits (which, even if you’ve sworn yourself to black, we highly suggest you try) these are the new-season pieces we’re coveting right now.
