If you’ve ever caught American comedienne Mindy Kaling on The Office, The Mindy Project or any one of her many films, you’ll be well aware of one thing — she’s not subtle. So when we came across her recently renovated New York apartment, we were expecting something that matched that energy. We were wrong. A sophisticated space with a decidedly minimalist vibe, the light-flooded home keeps a neutral palette. Complementing that with modernist furniture and pops of colour that she has introduced through an eclectic art and curiosity collection, it’s a grown-up space — anything but funny.
