Will Ferrell’s house is not so funny

As the leading man in many a moronic comedy, we didn’t know what to expect from Will Ferrell’s downtown Manhattan loft, but it certainly wasn’t this. Set in what was once a Victorian-era printing factory, the 2800-foot apartment is a calm, open home with not a whoopie cushion in sight. Littered with mid-century design classics and contemporary art, the modern interiors by New York’s Shawn Henderson are distinctly grown up, with a palette of greys and white offset by bright flashes of coloured furniture. Generous in its use of space, the industrial home which Ferrell shares with his actress/auctioneer wife Viveca Paulin and their three sons is perhaps not what we expected… But it is what we like.
