Having long been fans of renowned Sydney restaurant Acme and its unconventional but delectable pasta selection, we are delighted to hear that a taste of the action is set to land in Auckland, very soon. Guest chef and Acme co-owner Mitch Orr will take the helm at inner-city eatery Culprit, collaborating with the resident chefs for one night only on Tuesday 2nd October. While Acme isn’t strictly Italian, expect pasta to take centre stage in the nine-course extravaganza, where helpings of stracciatella and pigs’ head macaroni with smoked egg yolk will sit alongside other dishes like barbecue kalettes as well as a selection of desserts. Accompanying the delicious fare will be a number of natural and organic wines, curated by Dan Gillett of Wine Diamonds.
Tickets are $125 per person and are on sale now. And considering it’s here for a good time (but definitely not a long one), we suggest picking one up for yourself quick smart — this is one you don’t want to miss.
