The team behind Scratch Bakers bring their wildly-popular fare to the CBD

Jonny McKessar, managing director of Scratch Bakers and 3 Beans Coffee, has undertaken a new project in the foyer of a commercial building, a stone’s throw from The Vero Centre. Pollen, as it’s charmingly called, is a shiny new café doing a stellar job at the breakfast, lunch and everything-in-between run.

Serving up coffee from as early as 7am in the morning, if you’re heading into work at sparrow’s, we suggest you stop in for a quality pick-me-up (including your choice from the exceptional cabinet line-up). The office-bound cohort will revel in the delicious brunch and lunch options such as the chia seed waffles with raspberry, chocolate soil, vanilla Anglaise, or the open omelette abounding with fresh fig, melon, prosciutto and creamy mozzarella.

Beautifully finished with space enough for 40 people — positively expansive by CBD standards — and boasting an expansive outdoor deck, a brief workday stop-in at Pollen will offer that much-needed breath of fresh air.

Open Monday to Friday, from 7am-4pm.
