If you can’t make it to the slopes this winter, this pop-up chalet is the next best thing

Here at Denizen, we’re all about championing the art of après-ski. Because, well, what’s not to love? The process of unwinding over a glass of champagne after hours spent carving up the slopes on a bluebird day is our idea of winter perfection. Yet for some, making it to said slopes is sadly not on the agenda. Enter the Veuve Clicquot VC3000 pop-up chalet — aka the next best thing.

The ephemeral concept will be gracing level six of Britomart’s Seafarers, from this Friday 6th July until 6th August, in the form of a modern, European-inspired chalet. Embracing a fitting French directive, the space will boast a warming fireplace and be dressed with faux fur throws, pops of Clicquot-inspired colour, and contemporary touches to create an utterly inviting atmosphere. The theme will carry over into the food department, where a spate of impeccable French dishes have been designed to complement the Veuve Clicquot champagne. Comprising the likes of a caviar and salmon roe duo served with handmade crisps, a Madame Reuben toasted sandwich, various charcuterie, decadent parmesan-dusted French fries and much more, there will certainly be something for everyone.

Open from 6pm till 10pm every Thursday to Saturday night, the Veuve Clicquot commissioned space — a nod to the Maison’s hotly anticipated annual winter extravaganza, Clicquot in the Snow — will be the perfect spot for a pre- or post-dinner drink, if not a great excuse for a catch-up amongst friends. With quirky touches like the ‘Clicquot Mail’, a chance to send ‘wish you were here’ postcard to loved ones around the world (Veuve Clicquot will send them the very next day), we’re quite sure you’ll feel as though you’ve managed to wrangle a charming winter escape.

Veuve Clicquot’s VC3000 pop-up chalet will be open from 6th July to 6th August, from Thursday to Saturday, 6pm-10pm, as well as being available for private hire. Walk-ins only.
