If you haven’t yet celebrated duck season, this special menu is your calling card

You know the cooler season has officially arrived when the Baretta is carefully packed up, the Swandris are aired out, and weekends are consumed by making small talk in the maimai. Duck season, in case you hadn’t noticed, is in full swing, and with it comes a spate of inspired new dishes in Auckland’s best restaurants. Heralding the bird like no one else we know is Euro with their dedicated Euro Does Duck menu.

Available from May through to June, the Gareth Steward-led kitchen will be showcasing duck in six different ways via a three-course menu for $29.95 per person. The various dishes include a starter of either ‘Duck on toast’ — confit leg ‘rillete’, parfait, pickled cherry and pistachio — or Peking duck pancake tacos, followed by a Roast duck pho; then your choice of duck sausage with tamarillo ketchup and smoked mustard mash, Euro’s duck a l’Orange, or a classic serving of duck breast with glazed preserved plum, pine nut cream and spiced jus.

If you’re in the mood for a veritable Autumn feast, we suggest you get on down to this Princes Wharf locale, order yourself a Pinot Noir and settle in for a sumptuous culinary experience.

Book in to experience ‘Euro Does Duck’ between the hours of 12-4pm for the months of May and June.
