Italian food is undoubtedly one of our all-time favourite cuisines. It’s comforting, soulful and simply delicious, and Euro Bar & Restaurant is celebrating the month of February with a sensational Italian-inspired lunch menu. Executive chef, Gareth Stewart has taken classic Italian flavours and has added his own creative and contemporary spin, offering diners a new and enticing experience for an incredibly affordable price.
Euro’s special menu includes eight dishes that have been carefully crafted to showcase the heartiness of Italian fare and is finessed by Stewart’s modern and refined culinary skills. From market fish crudo with watermelon vinaigrette, garden mint and ‘panna acida,’ to fresh fusilli, ‘cacio pepe’, Parmigiano-Reggiano and salted yolk, this menu goes well-beyond the common spaghetti bolognese.
The only time that bolognese does make a feature on the menu is on the crayfish dish, which requires an additional $10 but we can guarantee that it’s worth the extra spend. The bolognese is derived from crayfish and prawn instead of the usual red meat and is topped on pillowy potato gnocchetti. Finished with zesty salsa verde and Parmigiano-Reggiano, this is an absolute showstopper that is not to be missed.
Your Italian-inspired long-lunch would be incomplete without some dolce and although only one dessert is on the menu, the tiramisu, really is the only sweet treat you’d want to finish with. Using only the best ingredients, such as Valrhona cocoa and perfectly balanced bittersweet chocolate, Euro’s tiramisu is a strong contender for Auckland’s best.
Euro’s three-course Italian-inspired lunch menu has just commenced and will be continuing on until the 29th of February. It starts at just $29.95 and is available during the day from 12pm until 4pm. With a deal like this seats are sure to get booked out quickly, so we recommend you reserve your table — which you can do by clicking here.
