Here at Denizen, we’ve always been of the firm stance that you can never have too much of a good thing. Case in point: Lewis Road’s delightful array of ice creams. From the classic vanilla to the more adventurous peanut butter and jelly, the local dairy brand has had us hooked with its churned-to-perfection offerings, and it seems the latest is set to follow in its predecessor’s footsteps. Get your spoons ready for the delectable new kid on the block — Lewis Road’s take on everybody’s favourite classic, Mint & Dark Chocolate Ice Cream.

Combining Lewis Road’s parlour-perfect, velvety smooth ice cream with wild peppermint extract and rolled dark chocolate shards, this elevated take on the traditional is moreish beyond belief. And while a new flavour alone is enough to get us into an excitable tizz, it’s the launch party that’s really whipping us up into a frenzy. In celebration of the new addition, this Wednesday, 20th February, the brand will be hosting a public tasting event at Takutai Square in Britomart. From 12pm, hungry passers-by can indulge in free ice cream tastings, but make sure you get in quick, because we suspect this coveted new flavour will get snapped up quicker than you can say “two scoops, please.”

With this delicious new addition joining its already expansive repertoire, Lewis Road Creamery isn’t showing signs of slowing down anytime soon. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next, but until then, you’ll find us spoon in hand, indulging in this fine offering by the bucket load.
