Celebrate the 4th of July with Lewis Road Creamery’s limited edition new ice cream

Peanut butter and jelly is just one of those classic duos. Like the Blues Brothers or Burt and Ernie. Having carved out a place in cultural infamy via its cult sandwiches and a viral youtube video of a dancing banana, peanut butter and jelly has recently inspired our favourite, local purveyors of dairy to create a new, limited edition flavour of ice cream.

The Lewis Road Creamery Peanut Butter & Jelly Ice Cream is a homage to the classic American pairing, fittingly released today just in time for the 4th of July. In celebration, Lewis Road has partnered up with Federal Delicatessen where ice cream tastings will be on offer from 2pm until 5pm while you enjoy some quintessential American bites like strip steak, hotdogs, fries and turkey sandwiches (among others).

Made with Lewis Road Creamery’s Pic’s Peanut Butter ice cream, the smooth, nutty base of this fresh, new flavour is broken up by generous swirls of OOB organic raspberries. Offering the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, it’s easy to see why this combination is so universally adored. And it’s made that much better by Lewis Road’s commitment to only using the finest ingredients and free-range eggs.

Whether you consider yourself an ice cream fiend or not, it’s fair to say that Lewis Road has done it again. Fair warning though — once the lid comes off, it’s hard to stop.
