Setting up shop right next to Crave Cafe‘s takeaway counter, self-proclaimed ice cream fanatic Hannah Wood has brought her deliciously authentic and experimental gelato to Morningside.
After studying the art of gelato on a scholarship to Carpigiani Gelato University in Italy — because of course there’s gelato university in Italy — Wood put all her newfound knowledge into creating interesting flavour combinations and developing appealing, dairy-free alternatives to sit alongside the classic gelato she had perfected.
With flavours like raspberry lamington, salted butterscotch and mango lassi, sometimes you don’t need a hot summer day to get those ice cream cravings going, and Little ‘Lato is proving that good gelato is necessary all year round.
