In our biased opinion, there can always be more days dedicated to champagne. It seems that famed Maison Moët & Chandon would tend to agree, having just announced the launch of their Moët & Chandon Grand Day on 9th June 2018.
With the aim of uniting the world in the name of their glistening, effervescent product, just like all important global timestamps — seeing in the New Year, for example — New Zealand will be the first country to celebrate, starting with a champagne brunch at HeadQuarters in Auckland’s downtown Viaduct Harbour. As part of the ticketed affair, the champagne house has teamed up with local designer extraordinaire Maggie Hewitt (of Maggie Marilyn) who has created a limited edition scarf that will serve as a take-home souvenir. After an incredibly prolific year on the global fashion scene, Hewitt herself has plenty to toast about.
Going as far as to roll out the exclusive (yes, you read correctly:) French Pink carpet, to unveil a floral-themed set-up, guests will enjoy rosé champagne and delicious brunch fare. Also present will be talented acoustic artist Sam Allen who will play to the elegant theme throughout the day. With plenty of Moët Moments to be had, the very first Moët & Chandon Grand Day — set to be celebrated by more than one million across 80 countries — will be a difficult day to forget.
