Auckland’s Night Noodle Market has returned and you cannot afford to miss it

The Night Noodle Market is back, bigger and better than ever.

Take a moment to envisage a line-up of markets stalls, crowds huddled around steaming hot pots of noodles, and grills sizzling away as the rising steam fills the air with the scent of delicious street food. Such was the case at Victoria Park this time last year during the Auckland Night Noodle Market. The ever-popular event is back, and this year it’s staying in town for a little bit longer.

Over 130,000 people wandered through the markets last year, sampling the likes of miso ramen, yakisoba, omu-soba, pad thai and pork fried noodles. Taking place at Victoria Park once again, 23 unique stalls will be taking part this year. With several artisans already locked in, Australia-based Hoy Pinoy will be serving delicious Filipino BBQ and street food, House of Dumplings is back peddling its hugely popular parcels, and Gelato Messina from Sydney will make its Auckland debut. It’s safe to say, all the bases have been covered.

Having named only a few of the purveyors who will partake in the upcoming affair, anyone who has had the pleasure of attending a Night Noodle Market, either here or across the ditch, will know the full extent of what is about to unfold. This year, it’s worth noting that the event is entirely catered to EFTPOS, and one of the event partners is Globelet — a reusable packaging company dedicated to minimising waste to landfill. With entertainment including traditional lion dancers as well as taiko drummers and dancers, there will be plenty of action for the whole family to enjoy.

The Auckland Night Noodle Market will take place from Friday 1st December until Sunday 10th December. Open 5pm – 10pm weekdays and 11.30am – 10pm weekends.
