Toast to your good health with the world’s first non-alcoholic spirit, Seedlip

Solving the conundrum of ‘what to drink when you’re not drinking’, Seedlip is saving our Saturday night haze with an alcohol-free replacement for our favourite spirits. After becoming fed up with the limited options available to non-drinkers, Ben Branson sought to create a viable (and tasty) alternative to spirit-heavy cocktails. And while initially intended to fill a niche gap in the market, demand for the healthy drink has become universal, with batches regularly selling out and some of the world’s top bars and hotels scrambling to add it to their offering.

Inspired by the herbal remedies distilled in ancient apothecaries, and using the methods around traditional distillation, Branson harvests the ingredients on his land, before putting them through a process of individual, cold maceration, distillation and blending to capture the botanical profile and flavour intensity of a regular gin or whisky. Garden 108, made from handpicked peas and home grown hay, with garden herb distillates to render the taste reminiscent of the English countryside, lends itself beautifully to a gin substitute; where the Spice 94, with its Jamaican allspice, berry and cardamom distillates and a finish of fresh citrus peel is perhaps more suited to those with a predilection for whisky. Both options are designed to be mixed and served with normal tonics or sodas, as with any regular spirit.

Seedlip boasts zero sugar, calories or sweeteners, no artificial flavours and no preservatives — which means we’ll be sure to hold it accountable when toasting to our good health.
