Inner-city restaurant Culprit knows how to put on a exceptional event, and following the sell-out success of 2017’s collaboration with Wellington eatery Shepherd, both venues are once again joining forces for an exciting pop-up in the Culprit dining room near the end of this month.
On the 22nd and 23rd of September, Culprit chefs and founders Kyle Street and Jordan MacDonald will be joined in the kitchen by chef Shepherd Elliot as they create a special menu of innovative delights, served as a Culprit-style degustation.
Shepherd is a renowned casual dining restaurant, known for its hyper-local, produce-led and seasonally-focused food, which will be served for this event with a Culprit twist.
Expect six bites, a main to share, sides and a sweet to finish, comprising inventive dishes like smoked venison with honey truffle, walnut and tamarillo; confit fried pumpkin with smoked pumpkin seed dressing, endives and cheese, and a smoked fish scotch egg with HP mayonnaise and marmite.
A wine match is available, focusing on the natural, organic and low-intervention wines favoured by both restaurants.
Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so we recommending getting in fast for this not-to-be-missed culinary event.
