Since opening in September, Ahi has celebrated New Zealand food with a story. The brainchild of well-known chef Ben Bayly, Ahi is situated on level 2 of Commercial Bay and champions the unparalleled produce of Aotearoa in a way that aims to pay homage to both our special local ingredients, and the people who harvest, prepare and serve them.
From the gobble-worthy snacks like the battered scampi corndog and hāngi pāua, to larger dishes like the crayfish soup with kūmara and saffron ravioli, and Te Mana lamb, spring nettles and leek, Ahi’s menu incorporates indigenous ingredients and techniques, interpreted in a contemporary way which diners can enjoy in the restaurant’s relaxed yet sophisticated setting.
