Win: Your chance to celebrate the inaugural Waiheke Island Wine & Food Festival with you and five friends

Who doesn’t love a weekend on Waiheke? While we don’t exactly need an excuse to visit our beautiful island neighbours, the inaugural Waiheke Island Wine and Food Festival presented by Go Media is sure to make a trip that much more appealing.

Taking place over three days from Friday, 14th of May to Sunday, 16th of May, the festival includes over 10 vineyards which will be helping festivalgoers to experience the very best of what Waiheke Island is loved for.

A $180 three-day Festival Ticket will unlock unique vineyard experiences, like tastings, food pairings, art exhibitions and live music. It also includes a return ferry ticket with Fullers360, and access to hop-on-hop-off festival shuttles running multiple routes throughout the three days.

So, what can you expect if you head over for the Waiheke Island Wine and Food Festival?

Poderi Crisci.

Early Festival Ticket purchasers can find themselves on limited shuttles to Poderi Crisci, where they will experience four wines accompanied with a selection of Antipasti style garden vegetables and homemade grissini breadsticks, Italian inspired bread, estate olives, and olive oils.

Cable Bay is offering a wine and food pairing of Cable Bay Rocky Vineyard Pinot Rose 2020 with a Charcoal Tempura and Wasabi Mayo. At Mudbrick, you will enjoy a taste of their award-winning wine and cuisine with a freshly prepared Amuse Bouche paired perfectly with a glass of Mudbrick’s Waiheke Island wine, music by The Sirens and a photography exhibition.

Upon arrival at Stonyridge, you’ll receive a glass of selected Waiheke wine, and a ticket to the must-attend Stonyridge DJ event on Saturday, 15th May, while Man O’ War is offering a glass of Gravestone Sauvignon/Semillon 2018 with freshly shucked Te Matuku oysters for early-bird buyers.

These experiences and much more will be waiting for you at the festival, so we suggest you gather your best and make a day — or three — of it. Find more festival information here.

To celebrate the inaugural Waiheke Island Wine and Food Festival, we have six Festival Tickets to give away valued at $1080, to one lucky winner.
