La Cigale Market’s second home

There are few better ways to start your weekend than with a just-brewed coffee and buttery croissant in hand, and few places better-qualified to deliver such an indulgence than La Cigale Market. Auckland’s favourite French féte delighting locals for almost 20 years, the Parnell stalwart is now extending its reach with a second home at Britomart.

Merging with the precinct’s City Farmers’ Market, the gourmet collaboration is music to our artisan-appreciating ears. Bringing all our favourite makers, bakers and creators together in one enticing offering, La Cigale Market at Britomart will descend on the downtown precinct’s grassy square (which we’re already eyeing up as the perfect croissant-consuming spot) every weekend come rain or shine. Brimming with fresh-baked breads, cheese, organic produce, homemade dips, pastries, treats and more, it’s the sort of place you can swig your morning cappuccino and dig into a breakfast bowl while loading up on fruits, veggies, herbs and whatnot for the week ahead. With the added incentive of $5 parking at the Britomart Car Park between 8am-1pm when you validate your ticket at the market, La Cigale Market at Britomart is trés Français, trés chic, trés likely to become our favourite spot for a weekend wander.

Opening hours will be Saturday 8am-12pm and Sunday 9am-12.30pm.
