The results are in. The inaugural Denizen Everyday Heroes saw thousands of votes cast in support of local businesses, with the aim of shining a light on the people and places whose services we rely upon. So without further ado, celebrate the best Pilates studios Auckland city has to offer, as voted by you.
1. MOST VOTED: Reform Fitness, Newmarket
With studios citywide in Auckland, plus Mount Maunganui and Christchurch locations, Reform Fitness is the number one place to go for fans of the lengthening, toning and strengthening effects of Pilates. Founders and directors Lane and Jane Gibson have oodles of experience between them, having worked in London where they trained celebrities like Claudia Schiffer and Jemima Khan, and thanks to their contingent of expert Pilates teachers, you too can walk out feeling famous.
2. HONOURABLE MENTION: Core Collective, City Works Depot
Here at the Denizen office, we’re dedicated devotees of the classes at Core Collective, thanks to the knowledgable guidance from this studio’s great teachers, and it seems like a lot of you are too. Core Collective offers a range of classes to suit any level, plus the option to mix it up with things like Jumpboard, and its City Works Depot location means a lunchtime class is a breeze for those working in the CBD.
3. HONOURABLE MENTION: Kia Kaha Studios, Takapuna
Kia Kaha Studios is much more than just a Pilates studio, although it is an excellent one at that. At this holistic fitness centre, as well as toning up on one of the studio’s many reformers, you can book in for reiki and wellness coaching, along with nutrition and psychological services. Now that’s a full-body workout.
